Budapest, Hungary

Postcard of the Week #10

We arrived in Budapest on the overnight bus from Krakow at five in the morning, an hour earlier than scheduled. We wouldn’t be able to check into our rental apartment until seven, so for two hours we got to experience an interesting crowd of drunks stumbling home after a sleepless night of partying. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our time here, especially strolling the Danube Banks and Andrassy Avenue, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. We even ran along these sites on a half marathon, finishing in just under 01:54—not too shabby considering the last time we ran was just before we embarked on our adventure!
