Sunrise Sailing into Cape Liberty

New York City

Our 8-day Transatlantic voyage wrapped up in the most fashionable way possible–an early morning sailing through New York Harbor, with spectacular views of the city skyline and, of course, Statue of Liberty.  It was quite the event being that it was the ship’s debut arrival in the U.S., so guests lined up on the upper decks while they served champagne and cider and alternated playing “New York, New York” and “Empire State of Mind” on the loudspeakers.  This all came as a pleasant surprise because we weren’t expecting to see New York (Cape Liberty is in New Jersey), but the festivities and excitement surrounding the Quantum of the Seas pulling into port was a bittersweet end to a week of nothing but relaxation.
